Mallacoota Arts Space

The Mallacoota Arts Space (MA space) is located in the Croajingolong Centre for Communication and the Arts at 66 Maurice Avenue, Mallacoota and is managed by Mallacoota Arts Council and its Curatorial Subcommittee. The high standard of work exhibited is mostly the work of Mallacoota’s own residents.  By providing an exciting yearly calendar of exhibitions, workshops, visiting artists and special performances it enhances the lives of its residents and showcases Mallacoota as an arts rich destination for visitors.

The construction of the 3CA building was made possible through the generosity of Michael and June Drake, Jo Irving Spray, the Victorian Government and East Gippsland Shire Council.

MA space – Workshops for Artists – from 6 February 2017

After some years attending painting classes, provided with assistance from Mallacoota U3A, often working in solitude and participating in exhibitions it is only fair to say that the number of practising artists in Mallacoota has expanded significantly. It no longer seems appropriate to simply call our group a painting class. A workshop for artists seems more fitting, and that of course includes beginners and dabblers. MA space – 2016-17 E J Brady Short Story Competition: An Afternoon of Readings – 28 May 2017

To celebrate the winners of this year’s E J Brady short story competition, Mallacoota Arts Council invites community and MAC members to an afternoon of readings from selected stories. Afternoon tea will be provided and wine and beer will be available for purchase. MA space – Rockpools – 4 August 2017

Mallacoota Arts Council invites artists to participate in their next exhibition entitled Rockpools. We encourage artists to submit an imaginative response to our coastal and bushland natural rockpools. All mediums welcome. Bump in Monday 31 July 2017 between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please allow time for filling in documentation.
